Collaborative task: Durer's Rhinoceros in sections

Our contribution to the Collaborative Task in November consisted of a section of Durer's Rhinoceros.
We decided to focus on the Mosaic Technique. The result was very nice, lively and colourful.

Our "Albrecht yourself" activity - Liceo TL Caro (Italy)

We decided to work on a quite engaging painting by Dürer, "Lamentation of Christ".
The whole class participated into the actualization of the painting in a Tableau vivant. It meant finding suitable costumes, studying accurately the characters in the painting, distributing the roles to each member of class 3^AS of Liceo TL Caro. Taking pictures to track the evolution of the task, especially to comment on the facial expression suitable to such an intense painting, one of an elevated atmosphere. All also thanks to our Art teacher, Anna Maria Saviano, to whom we all owe our deep thank you!

October tasks are over. Here is what we did:

After having submitted a big number of excellent logos for the project, the time for the verdict came. The students voted for their favourite logo for our project!

Today we had a live metting with our beautiful partners from Gerisun, Turkey. Cagla had organised it perfectly, only we, Ierissos Junior High School, didn't have a strong internet connection in our class today, so we had to move in a small storage room where the signal is strong. We are happy we met you, next meeting will be perfect. I also hope my students will get used to meeting partners and won't be so shy to talk.

Tuesday 16 October 2018 was the first live meeting between students of our project. The students of Greece couldn't wait to meet their partners from Turkey. We were so excited we forgot to take pictures. Luckily, our considerate partner Mustafa was ready to save the moment to eternity. His photos are here to prove our first student live meeting. We can't wait to see you again and work together on our super project.

Wednesday 17 October 2018 has been a great day of live meetings. Turkey met Germany and Greece met Italy. There has been a great success and the students were very excited to have met their partners live. They introduced themselves, they cheered each other and created the great potential of new bonds. Collaboration works with the mind but it works best with the heart.
